Life can be a challenge sometimes, and if you have concerns about your eating habits, weight, body image or mood, life can feel even harder. I am an experienced Psychologist, Family Therapist and private practice owner. My passion is helping people with restrictive eating, over-eating and comfort eating, weight or body image concerns and eating disorders to develop a healthy relationship to food, eating, and their body.
If you’re looking for support from someone who is trained in evidence-based strategies; someone who will be respectful and non-judgemental; someone outside of your normal social network; someone who has your best interests at heart; someone who is willing to listen and give you the time you need, then I’m here to help.
I have extensive training, supervision and experience in using intuitive eating and Health at Every Size (HAES) strategies, which are also known as 'non-diet' or 'weight neutral' approaches. I am also skilled in working with young people and adults with eating disorders using evidence based models which are recognised by Medicare and health funds, including cognitive-behavioural therapy for eating disorders (CBT-E) and Structured Specialist Clinical Management (SSCM) for adults and Maudsley Family Based Therapy (FBT) for young people.
I am registered with the Psychologists Board of Australia and am a full Member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS), the Australia and New Zealand Academy for Eating Disorders (ANZAED) and am a verified provider with HAES Australia and The Centre for Mindful Eating (TCME). I am a Guest Lecturer in the postgraduate counselling programme at Notre Dame University in Western Australia.
I offer sessions in person and via Zoom videoconferencing, with day, evening and Saturday morning appointments available.
